Our story

Founded on a simple conviction.

Calderstone was built around a straightforward belief: that the best outcomes for an established business come from owners who can afford to be patient. Too much capital today arrives with a deadline — a fund that must return money, a mandate that must exit, a calendar that overrules judgement. We started Calderstone to be the alternative.

As a principal investor, we deploy the firm's own balance sheet. That single fact shapes everything that follows: the freedom to hold a great company indefinitely, the discipline to underwrite our own decisions, and the alignment to act as a genuine partner rather than a middleman. We invest carefully, support quietly, and stay for the long term.

The name Calderstone is deliberate. A stone is foundational and enduring — set once and built upon. That is how we see our role: a stable base on which owners and management can build for the next generation.

Our ethos

The right outcome for the business, then the right outcome for us.

— How every Calderstone decision is taken

What we stand for

Four principles, kept on purpose.

These are not slogans. They are the constraints we chose — and they are the reason owners come to Calderstone in the first place.

Alignment

We invest our own capital, alongside the people we back.

Our money is in the same place as our partners'. That makes the relationship honest from the first meeting: we only succeed when the business does.

Patience

We hold for the right outcome, not the next milestone.

Without a fund clock, we are free to let a good business compound. If selling is wrong in year three, we don't sell in year three — and we never have to.

Stewardship

We leave companies stronger than we found them.

Whether advising or investing, our measure is the health of the business years later — its people, its customers, and its staying power.

Discretion

We work quietly, and we keep confidences.

Most of what Calderstone does is never made public. Owners trust us with sensitive decisions because we are built to be a safe place to think out loud.

Group companies

A portfolio of real operating businesses.

Calderstone holds and supports operating companies for the long term. Each is run by its own management team, with our capital and backing behind it.

European Technical — Dubai

European Technical is Calderstone's UAE operating company: a licensed Dubai home-maintenance and technical-services business, covering AC, plumbing, electrical, painting, handyman and property maintenance across the emirate. It is a working example of how we back, hold and support an operating company over the long term.

Why owners choose us

Investors first. Everything else follows.

We are not advisors who occasionally invest, nor a fund that occasionally advises. We are principal investors — and that shapes how we think, how we act, and how we treat the businesses we touch.

A

Real capital at risk

Advice and investment both come from the same place — people whose own money is on the line.

B

Operator's perspective

We have built and run businesses, so our support is practical, not theoretical.

C

A small, senior team

You work with the people who make the decisions — no handoffs, no junior layers.

In confidence

Considering a partner who will still be there in a decade?

We would be glad to introduce ourselves properly and hear about your business. The first conversation is without obligation.
